Chapter 5 - One Step Closer
The next day, CHiCA walks into Huy's lab who is developing something. CHiCA smiles, "Hey Huy-ness!"
Huy laughs, "Hey CHiCA."
CHiCA sees a blue vile and picks it up, "What are you working on?"
Huy tells her that he's developing a laser that will re-activate the atomic particles in the force-field that will protect them from evil forever.
CHiCA smiles, "Well let's beat Tazorac first." CHiCA sees another vile that's bubbling, "What is this?"
Huy quickly grabs it from her, "That's cyanide acid. It is extremely poisonous."
Huy sets it down and turns around to continue working on the laser. CHiCA grabs the vile and sneaks away, "Well I'll let you keep working. Cya!"
Tazorac is in a cave with his cauldron and drops the Advent Decks inside, "Yes! It'll almost be time!"
In the hospital, someone in converse sneakers is walking the hall. A hand pushes a door open that says: PSYCH WARD. Janet is reading a book near a window when somebody grabs her shoulder. Janet is startled and drops the book, "CHiCA?"
CHiCA picks it up, "Nervous about something? The last time we met was in the courtroom, where you were hauled off to the psych ward forever. The only reason why you're not in a cell is because of your insanity plead."
Janet tells CHiCA that she remembers that day fondly, "It was the last day that I ever saw my children."
CHiCA tells Janet that she wants to know why she killed Mark. Janet tells CHiCA that she cannot tell a lie, "I never touched Mark. I don't even know what he looks like." and giggles.
CHiCA is confused, "But you confessed! You said that you did it!"
Janet sneers, "Honey, you don't know the half of it. I never touched Mark...but I know who did!"
CHiCA shouts, "WHO!" when a nurse walks in, "HEY! No visitors allowed!" and grabs CHiCA. CHiCA shrugs off the nurse, "WHO KILLED HIM, JANET!"
Janet becomes flustered, "I-I c-can't s-s-say! OH GOD...MY HEAD!" Janet falls to the ground and begins shaking violently.
The nurse screams, "She's having a seizure!" and runs over to Janet. CHiCA tears up and runs out.
Kase arrives at KamenConnection and knocks on CHiCA's door. CHiCA opens the door and then tries to shut it but Kase opens it further and walks in, "What the hell were you thinking! You gave my mother a seizure!"
CHiCA tells Kase that her mother gave herself a seizure. Kase laughs, "The doctor told me that it was brought on by stress! In other words, YOU!"
CHiCA tells Kase, "I was just asking about my boyfriend's murder."
Kase sighs and tells CHiCA to let Mark rest in peace.
CHiCA shouts, "YOU'D LIKE THAT! WOULDN'T YOU?"
Kase tears, "I miss what we had. We used to be best friends. Girl power forever, remember?"
CHiCA smiles, "Well our friendship went out the window when they put Mark in the ground."
Kase looks away when CHiCA continues, "Your mother told me that she didn't kill Mark but she saw who did and Kit told me last night that he knows the truth!"
Kase is shocked, "Well my mother is crazy and Kit had a long day, he was saying random stuff while walking home last night."
CHiCA smiles, "Or...she's trying to protect someone...liker her children, I mean it would make sense. Kit told me that he would defend you and Len no matter what. Karma's a bitch, isn't it?"
Kase's mouth opens wide, "You're now accusing ME of killing Mark?"
CHiCA smiles, "Or Len."
Kase laughs, "You know what? I'm glad that our friendship is over!" and walks out.
Kase goes to walk out the door when the door turns into ice. Kase, confused, turns around and sees Kamen Rider CHiCA. Kase sighs, "You've got to be kidding me." and pulls out her Advent Deck, "Well...you asked for it."
CHiCA fires her Dagger at Siren who ducks the blast and summons her Guard Vent. Feathers fly everywhere, confusing CHiCA. Siren jumps behind her and slashes CHiCA in the back. CHiCA goes tumbling down the stairs. CHiCA summons Lioneo who grabs Siren and throws her over a balcony. Siren stumbles up and runs inside the mess hall and jumps on the tables. CHiCA fires after her, causing things to explode. Siren's cape turns into wings and flies into a mirror. CHiCA laughs and summons her Flight Vent on her Dagger and flies into the same mirror. The mirror begins to shake and then it explodes causing Siren and CHiCA to go crashing to the floor. CHiCA is too hurt to move. Siren limps up and de-armors, "Maybe next time you'll keep your mouth shut!" and walks out. CHiCA de-armors when Eubulon walks in and sees the mess hall trashed. CHiCA smiles and waves at him. Eubulon hands her a mop, "Lunch starts in an hour. Better get started."
In the hospital, Len is talking with Janet when Kase walks in making Janet very excited, "KASE!"
Kase tells her mother that she is here strictly for business, "If CHiCA comes back and starts asking questions about Mark, you play dumb, understand."
Janet is confused, "Am I trouble?"
Len tells Janet that CHiCA is on to them, "If CHiCA finds out the truth, we're done! Kase and I wil be sharing a cell with our father and Kit. This lie is getting out of hand."
Janet nods, "Anything for my babies. That's why I agreed to the murder."
Kase and Len smile, "Good." Kase kisses her mom, "We'll see you soon." and walks out with Len.
Kase calls Kit, "We need to talk, ASAP!"
